It's not an easy app to figure out, and it doesn't easily find books. I've had to manually enter almost all of them. It doesn't make sense the track your progress v. the quick enter. I guess maybe minutes read is important for kids but I'd much rather track pages or percentage. I like the reading challenges though. I'm just not sure this is as good as Goodreads and I don't see a reason I would need this if I have that.

I like being able to keep track of my daughter's reading with this app and being able to challenges through my public library. Lately the app has been glitchy, it doesn't record the readings or they'll appear sometimes but not always. The streak counter is also not accurate, even if there are no gaps in the days we've read, it will only consider a random amount of days as a streak.

Update: We have been using this app for 2 years now and can't imagine life without it. We started reading to my kids, and now my oldest is reading on his own and tracking his books. We do not start a book without first scanning it through Beanstack. The only complaint I have is that (unless I'm overlooking it) it still seems to be pretty locked down on what the is allowed to change. i.e. I can not delete readers myself, I can not restart or cancel challenges.

I prefer Beanstack to Storygraph because this app was developed to ensure diverse reading and I like that. The ONLY issues I continue to have are it misses some s when I update my daily reading, which messes up my streak, and there are quite a few book titles that I have to manually . With that said, this is an easy to use app and it's a fun motivation to keep reading!

*Edit 10/2024: Added 5th star. App became part of my life. I really enjoy logging the books&updating my progress. Beats end-of-book-blues by giving a sense of accomplishment. ing library challenges is a plus. *Edit: added 3 starts, taking back my previous review (re: Beanstack not opening after an update). I had to uninstall&reinstall (got lucky, guessed my logon right) and the App is working again <3 Back to my list of favorite Apps. I didn't lose my reading streak.

I have been using this app daily since my son turned 4 months old. Before, I had an issue with the error popping up on my screen from the May update, but with this new update, I haven't gotten one. Thank you for your attention to this concern. Edit: The app is a lot slower since they added more to the interface.

Awesome app! I've just started and it's been great to view my reading progress so far! It's a simple app, although it took some time to navigate and find out where everything was, the app's purpose just basically keeps track of how much you read in a duration and over time. I really wish there was a way to add little notes to each book though, like a little personal log to each reading. This feature would also be helpful for books we have to manually plug in, since it's harder to keep track.

Usually read and I like to log my books. I'm going to a new school in the fall, and right now none of my old logs or titles are showing up. Same school , though.. what's up with that? Very upset right now Update: Got my old stats back, so I'm thankful for that. The woman who helped me was very patient and kind. Bless her heart. However, I still don't have my old reviews, badges, challenges, or even friends. I've chalked it up to it just being because of a new school, so I don't mind.
