You are a medieval knight, serving your king as a mercenary. Impressed by your victorious battles and leadership skills, the king offers you a chance of a lifetime - sail on a crusader ship to a new island and start a settlement there.

You will be in charge of both the settlement’s military and economy. Your goal is to build up the crusader settlement, profit from trade and farming, and then use the income to improve your army and defenses. Strong walls manned by archers and ballistas will help you withstand constant enemy attacks. To defend your settlement, you will need to train your army, upgrade equipment, and research new unit types to grow your empire.

Then, once your economy is up and running and your crusader army grows in size and power, it’s time to go on the offensive and start expanding your stronghold. Attack enemy outposts, conquer their walls, and turn them into a new source of income for your growing colony and warrior empire.

Welcome, future king! Your first task is to build up your small village on the coast of an unexplored island. Starting with just a simple wooden fence and a modest fort, you need to grow your defences and train your crusader soldiers to be able to defend yourself against endless waves of enemies.

To be able to withstand constant enemy attacks, you will have to:
• Train your soldiers from simple peasants to experienced warriors
• Build up defences and strenghten your stronghold's walls
• Place skilled archers and terrifying ballistas on your walls
• Use your blacksmith to get better swords and armors
• Craft more powerful bows and sharper arrows
• Clash for survival against hordes of powerful enemies
• Defeat epic bosses who will try to destroy your village

As your power grows, you will soon have the opportunity to take the initiative from your enemies and go on the offensive. ⚔️ Start conquering small neighbouring outposts - take them, build up their economy, and start earning ive idle income even when offline! ⏳

Together with trading ships, skilled merchants, farmers, and profits from repelled enemies, you will soon be able to build up even better defences, expand your network of money-making outposts, earn more money farming valuable crops, and conquer and unite the whole island under your just rule.

Medieval: Defense & Conquest features:
• 70+ enemy unit types with unique stats and skills
• Boss levels with giant enemies
• 40+ enemy outposts to conquer and develop your economy
• Beautiful pixel art game map and characters

Fun so far, but the resource cost fo the castle is pretty insane. For one dev it's pretty good though. Just needs more things to progress to since it's already starting to feel repetitive after 200 waves. But hey, it got me through a night of no sleep. 😂 Oh one thing you need to fix! The auto-battle is trash. I upgraded my swordman and it auto sent out all low level archers. Poor fools died instantly. Needs to have some better battle tactics before adding that kind of feature.

This is basically a more simplified version of another game called "Grow Empires: Rome". It runs without Internet which is what saves it but generally the gameplay loop is pretty stale: spam your best unit in defense and spam balista, use gold to upgrade, then do it again. Taking land only gives you a minor ive gold income even though it is the "story" and building your castle is tedious with only basic benefits. Also every boss is a larger version of the most recent enemy you fought. 😑

I love this game, as a developer myself though, I wish that I could see what my rooms are in my castle without having to click on it. that is literally one of the only things, the other is if you want to get far into the game you're gonna have to spend money at least once.

forced ads are unbearable. can't even get a feel for the game that would make me want to pay for ad free because I'm constantly watching ads instead of playing

It's a fun enough little game. However, once you complete an island & move on to a new one, it's virtually a full reset back to the start - most critically, your army upgrades, colony income, & carried gold are all gone. Would be better to introduce new units or even higher levels to existing ones, and allow previous island upgrades to continue providing benefits. Good for one island, but not much fun "restarting" on the new one.

I like the game. There's the ad button at the top and whenever you move across the screen the button gets kind of pulled and I'm not a fan of that. Another thing is for some reason when I'm scrolling to see how many of the enemy is left the screen will just jerk back to my castle. When using auto battle there should be an option to stop between each battle to upgrade. Instead it goes on and on until I turn auto battle off and beat the wave without auto battle on.

Nothing about this game is good. "Developers need to eat too" - one of the rare cases where this does not apply. Others at least try to cover the ads/pay aspect with game mechanics or visual style. None of that is present in this game. Mechanics, art, music - everything is horrifically awful. And there are buttons "pay us cash" on every screen. If you're into tactical games or medieval stuff - still, no. This game would not deliver. Five minutes of "gameplay" is enough to uninstall it.

It's beautiful. I like the idea of mixing 2d scenery and top down perspective when it comes to combat. The art is charming and nice. I would recommend adding more to the scenery such as a day and night cycle or weather (rainy, foggy, etc.) so that it would add variety to the game.
