Write your first novel

Still can’t gather your strength? It happens pretty often. Writing books is easy; it’s hard to write good books. If this were not the case, we would all be creating bestsellers.
Every writer spends a lot of time thinking about a novel. Perhaps you are doing some research. You are calculating how the story will develop. You brainstorm, hear how the characters speak: it’s the essential part of creating a book. Your book has already formed in your head, and you are ready to sit down and start writing.

Organize your books

Before you get down to business, you should deal with organizational issues. It would be best to write down all the ideas in a form that you can then use. But why? Because our memory is unreliable and because your story (like any other that is at the same stage) has many holes that need to be patched before you start working. It would be best if you created a plan for the novel: in this case, it will not discourage you from writing.

“Snowflake Method”

The Fabula app is based on the “snowflake method” invented by Randy Ingermanson. You can quickly write novels, stories, fairy tales, fanfiction, any story. In just nine easy steps, you can create an outline for your book and start writing your first draft.
Fabula is your book writing assistant.

10-27 Initially, I loved this app as I thought it was a safe place to work out and plan my ideas and stories, but on having issues with my phone I lost everything. Though connected to google play store none of my info was saved or transferred to my new device, I lost months of planning and ideas. Don't use this app unless you plan a secondary backup or files. I recommend writing out or taking screenshots. ** Follow up 11-01 Devs are slow to acknowledge any messages/emails sent to them.

It lacks a "quick add" for when you write plot events (press enter to save the event AND add a new one). So I can't pour my ideas out quickly. It's also uncomfortable to reorder events, because you have to long press each time, and the animation "snaps" in a weird way. For those who like to outline your plot, a better option is Workflowy or Dynalist. Those also allow you to add a note/details to your list items, without disrupting the flow. Though it's equally uncomfortable to reorder events.

I've faced one problem several times. Sometimes I write some lines and close the app, but when I open the app again to write from where I stopped, I find some lines are missing from my previous writing. Pls fix this problem. It takes a lot of times to rewrite them.

This app has helped me for years. I use it to store all of my data. Tons and tons of data. It was a five star app... Until it stopped letting me view my character details. Now it behaves as if I'm creating a new character not clicking into one that I already created. I emailed technical , but this is humongously important to me so I'm putting a review too. I'm praying there's a way to fix this because I've worked so hard. Anyway, it's partially my fault for not having a backup plan.

Absolutely love this app!!! I wish there was a way to use it online like on the web for example. That'd be amazing, especially for who tend to write with laptops and such. Anyways, I'd reccomed it to anyone!

Favorite story creating app hands down. I very rarely have issues with restoring my purchase and its the only app I think thats worth paying for. 5 stars across the board!

Deleted my progress. Edit: (Answering the dev) It didn't delete my books. I spent a couple day adding pictures, important character information, and scenes within my book (among other things) I opened the app an hour later and none of my progress saved. July 1st, 2024
