Firefight is a World War II real-time simulation game with more AI and attention to detail than any other game in its genre to date. Tanks are modelled with a physics engine and have gears, rev counters and speedos, and steer themselves with brake levers to give them realistic looking tracked vehicle movement. Each bullet, shell or piece of shrapnel is modelled in 3D and ricochets realistically off sloping surfaces. You can see each infantryman's rank, name, weapon, ammunition remaining, heart rate and fatigue levels. Machine gunners will call for ammunition when they're running low and other squad will rush over with spare ammo if they are carrying any. Wounded men call for medics who will sprint over to ister first aid. Off-board artillery can be called in but will have to fire several ranging shots before the full 8 gun battery opens fire simultaneously. If you liked Close Combat you'll love Firefight!

So many great improvements have been made, except the troop movement. If you select a unit and tell them to set up on a defilade they will go on the opposite side, reveal their position and get shot. Or they set up in a neighboring building 20 meters from the position that you commanded them to move to. It used to be great, needs to be changed back. Over reliance on AI isn't making the game better. The bunker fortifications were lacking in the pacific theater missions.

Finally, it is a game that feels more realistic. Update: This game is only the ww2 game I ever fell in love with. The only issue I would complain about is the maneuver of the tanks. They are making full circle to void hitting a tiny little bush or fence, lol. I also wish there was a command to hold your position with the tanks not moving on it own. As well a command that make the tank or infantry allow themselves to move where they can shoot target while given the order fire at target. Thank u!

Heavily recommended for WW2 enthusiasts. Still would love a sandbox mode, allowing selection of units on both sides. Still there are issues with Anti Tank combat, I'll be honest it's the worst part of this game. No rocket man is going to just to behind a tank, there aggression needs a rework. The closer the tank, the more aggressive he'll be, rather than just sitting on the end of the formation. I shouldn't have to re position the entire squad for one man's shot.

7 factions with a handful of maps, across all 6 years of WW2 with accurate units based on the month/year, an attack, defend, and CTF game mode. Pretty much the best mobile RTS I've come across. Edit: 8 factions, game is still being regularly updated. If you're a history nerd and/or want a RTS game for mobile this is THE ONE. Edit again: 12 FACTIONS!

Pretty decent strategy game. Not designed to play casually, it has a learning curve for both the gameplay and the UI. No real tutorial beyond a single screen that you have to go in-game to access. It's also hard to really "test" how the units perform, as you can't choose what units the enemy team will use in custom games. Currently, it appears the enemy team is randomized each game. Very close to being a 5/5 game

After spending some time trying to figure out this game, I realized the unit marker is just a very faint and transparent blue marker. If it were a more solid color, or better yet if you could adjust it in settings this game would be a 5/5. As it is it's a struggle to see it, which hinders gameplay. Other than that this game is infinitely replayable and interesting enough as an rts

I genuinely do love this game it's amazing to see this kind of game on a mobile device. The controls take a little getting used to but it's nothing crazy and I can't wait to see further updates. My only critique is when you play on the defense, I would love to see placeable defensive structures like barbed/razor wire, trenches, fox holes, land mines AP and AT, bunkers and tank emplacements. Other than that Its a game unlike any other I've seen on Android.

Similar to the old computer game close combat. I would love to see a beach map. Also airstrikes would be awsome. Most people giving bad ratings have not played realistic war games. Like someone taking a 20mm and shooting a tiger tank repeatedly and killing it. Not going to happen. If you are looking for that this is not your game. If you are looking for a game that atempts to simulate true ww2 combat, this is your game. Great job.
