The New Jerusalem Catholic Bible is an update to the Jerusalem Bible, an English version of the French Bible de Jérusalem.

When the French version was updated in 1973, the changes were used to revise the Jerusalem Bible, creating the New Jerusalem Bible. The revisions were substantial. The revised version is said to be less literary but, for the most part, more literal. The introductions and footnotes, translated almost entirely from the French, have also been thoroughly revised and expanded, making it one of the most scholarly editions of the Bible.

A lovely translation with a simple, good-looking UI that works properly every time. And on top of that, excellent customer ! I recently changed phones, and had a problem with the way the app functioned on the Pixel 7a. When I emailed the devs yesterday, they replied the same day, and had the issue fixed this morning! Stellar!!

Good translation, nice, clean presentation. I love the audio feature, it's a big help for me, but there are a few gaps, would be great to get those fixed. And I would really like the possibility of having a permanent record of which books /chapters have been read and competed. Generally I like this app, those 2 improvements would make it 5 stars.

The app is good. Nevertheless the audio settings need to be checked and yours reading plan of the year seems to have issues that needs to be fixed

Quick and easy to use. I love the reading plan. I love the reader - it can be adjusted and slowed down. Choice of white and black backgrounds.

Ok application. One should be able to go to previous page. But this doesn't happen. You have to start from the beginning. Very annoying. But otherwise ok. I like it. Easy to go to any book/chapter/verse.
